MG TD TF 1500 - Dave Braun - Brake question
Dave (or anyone) your photo of the brake assembly for the MGTD1547 shows the bleed screw fitting in the front wheel cylinder but the WSM says "The front brake wheel cylinders are interchangeable but the link pipe banjo unions must be fitted to them so that the flexible hose is connected to the forward cylinder and the bleed screw to the rear cylinder." It appears from your photo that they are reversed. I'm sure I'm missing something but I can't figure it out. Can you enlighten me? That is just an error!!!!! Exactly wrong! The picture is also reversed in implication. Long time big hassle |

Looks as if WSM, Section M.12 is wrong. If you'll look at of images showing the bleeders or the flexible hoses you'll see that they agree with Dave's configuration. BTW, if you do it WSM way you'll have one heckuva time trying to do the bleeding. (Don't ask). Bud |

If you look at the flexi pipe mounting on the chassis itself, you will see where the pipe is fitted. |

I thought it might be something like that. I must have read that section and studied Dave's picture a hundred time figuring I was missing something. Thanks for clearing that up. Tim TD12524 |

Sorry, I was tied up with the FAA... But yeah, the WSM is wrong. Warmly, Dave |
