MG TD TF 1500 - Dealer Sign
Hi Guys, Any idea on how to repair this sign.It came from a dealership in Virginia. I don't have the broken parts. Thanks Tom Scott ![]() |

The outer red octagon rim looks like a goner, but the remainder looks salvageable. I would be tempted to remake the rim in wood and paint it in a matching red and just illuminate the inner part. It could look very nice. Dave H |

Try a sign shop that does commercial signs. |

The one I got was from in garage in Hampshire. They were going to through it away. My Parents did not mind me bolting it onto our garage in Keston. It was all made of wood, very solid, and not light. Sad to say, I left England in 1981 to go work in Germany and have no idea where it is now. I think if you use wood, you could make a good repair. ![]() |

Try a place like Tap Plastics who sell acrylic plastic in sections and sheets of various thicknesses. You might have to do an overlay of the entire border and paint it a matching red on the underside. I'd take the sign to them and get some suggestions. |

A sign shop should be able to duplicate the contour of the red outer rim in a similar red plastic. Then they or you should be able to cut the old broken edge at the corners and splice in the new piece, cut to the same length and angle, of course. |
