MG TD TF 1500 - Editing a post?

We used to be able to edit a mistake in a post, what happened to that feature? Why was it removed? PJ
PJ Jennings

PJ, after submitting the post, the post goes live. You then have 15min (or until someone adds a post) to edit or Delete the post.
Links to do either are just below the post you submitted.
Sorry above your post and below your name at top of post.

Stuart

ps. I have editted this post twice.
Stuart Duncan

They disappeared from my screen also, during the last updates. Maybe it has to do with what theme we're running.
Steve Simmons

It was the last update when my link disappeared also, never to return! So far. PJ

Ditto

Test to see if edit/delete is still available for me.

I still have the ability To edit delete. The option shows up above the original post and says 15 minutes or till someone else posts.
G D

Yep, still works for me --15 mins or unless someone posts
willy

Just entered this then went back and I am now adding this bit in edit

And I'm back, -didn't realise you could keep re-editing, so I guess you can keep going back till the 15 mins are up or until someone jumps you
Cheers
willy

still working

Nope. No editing function on my end
W A Chasser

Ha ha
I just logged out and came back and Bill jumped me
My edit function for that last post has been removed now

Still there for this one

It's there after you enter your post then roll down (or up) to you post and it should be there with it

Just wondering which operating system those who cannot edit posts are using. I use Windows 10.

Also are you using a phone to look at and add posts. My club has found that members who only use their phone to read websites have problems completing forms etc.
cheers

Stuart, you might be onto something there

If you go up to the top RH corner and click on customise, then roll through to mobile devices , there is a choice of Long (everything) or Short (some things omited)
If Short is selected, by clicking on long and then saving down the bottom of the page it 'might' fixit
William Revit

Stuart, I'm using Windows 10 and the link isn't showing up, it did when I was using Windows 8.1. PJ
PJ Jennings

I made a change on security settings, will see if it works. PJ
PJ Jennings

No change, still doesn't work!
PJ Jennings

The issue started with the last forum update. I haven't changed OS or browsers. It's likely a style or theme issue with the new software.

No joy. I changed all the display options so this appears to be solely a webmaster issue.

Still working here
Had this up the top of the page---

Thank you for your message
You have 15 minutes, or until the next post
if sooner, to correct it if there are any errors.

Then this down the bottom ready to edit----

Has to be something with your setup
Maybe contact Mike and ask him how to fixit
He's very helpful
William Revit

Test. PJ
PJ Jennings

Well, Steve lives aprox. 1500 miles from me and we both are having the same problem, certainly not the server. I just tried Microsoft Edge plus 3 other browsers in Windows 10 and nothing changed. Just have to put up with it I guess.
PJ Jennings

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

The problem was related to the introduction of local time zones and has now been resolved. I have tested as PJ and that worked OK, so hopefully it is fully resolved.

Thanks Mike! It's now back to normal. PJ

It's fixed here too, although now if I try to post only "test" then it doesn't take.
