MG TD TF 1500 - Engine steady/control link
Does anybody have a good shot or a diagram on how the engine side engine steady bar bracket on the TD is fixed to the engine? It is very difficult to see in there or even get a camera in to take a photo with the rad and fan belt installed. Is the bracket mounted on the lower left hand side water pump stud? Item 118 on the external engine parts drawing http://abingdonspares.com/parts-catalog/engine-external-page-3/ Regards Declan |

Hi Declan, Part #118 mounts to the two bottom studs of the water pump. George |

Don't know if this is any good for you Declan, it's a TF but I think their the same. You'll have to blow it up for a better look. PJ![]() |

I thought I took pictures of everything on the engine, but am amazed that on every picture of the bracket the pully or the pump is in the way! This is best of my picture.
