MG TD TF 1500 - Extra Brake/Turn Signals

Here's my extra brake and turn signal lights. They are held in position by padded strong magnets that I installed and can be removed in 30 seconds for a show. No damage to the paint. Plugged in below the spare makes them so easy to remove. They are brighter than the regular lights and improves rear visibility to approaching vehicles immensely. They work very well. I didn't want any permanent non factory fixtures on the car. PJ

Paul, I started out with a similar setup. Grit gets in there and will mar your beautiful paint. It's hard to believe, but it happens. As they say, 'don't ask me how I know'. Bud

Thanks Bud, I'll consider approaching the lights mounting from another angle. I did consider a removal tire clamp, might go back to that idea. PJ

I was thinking of putting something like this where the reflectors are on the back of the car. Someone did this on one of these forums, but I don't know who or what lights he used to fit the reflector rubber base. Anyone know who or what light he used? PJ

Paul,
They look to me like Lucas L594 Indicators.

You would probably have to fabricate a bracket to mount them. Polished aluminium might be a good choice.
