MG TD TF 1500 - Factory Original Yellow Color
I recently heard from Jack Smolik (NEMGTR #76!) on an Arnolt matter, and he mentioned while having breakfast with the late Henry Stone of the MG Works, he informed me that Wacky Arnolt at one time ordered a batch of TD’s painted in a pale yellow, a non cataloged color. I offer this as an indication that good customers could order their modification of choice! Tom Lange MGT Repair |

This is cool. I can totally understand this happening. Wacky Arnold was their number 1 customer (well maybe Gough Industries was). |

Well that yellow makes my TD semi original even if not a Wacky Arnolt delivery. Where did Kjell Qvale on the west coast rank in size of MG distributors?

He was the ajent for MG's in the qvhole San Francisco area as Brjtish Motor Car Distributors, so I would say he ranked pretty hjigh! LOL - couldn't resist. Tom Lange MGT Repair |

Interesting - There used to be a TC and a TD here and both were an identical really light yellow/cream colour Definitely not Ivory, more yellowy I have a pic of the TC but not the TD ,but they were identical Maybe,'Arnolt had the TD's done in TC cream colour ![]() |

And I could not resist getting this shot at a local car & coffee gathering recently. I think they called these the MiGi. Surprised that British Leyland did not sue for trademark/design violation.![]() |

We have too many "Non conforming"colors of original TD's for there not to have been other colors ordered. Nuffield had a large selection of colors in their various car lines. |
