MG TD TF 1500 - Foot Rest

Did the earlier TD’s come with a passenger side foot rest? Mine, TD 4618, did not have one when the car came to me. If there should have been one, I would like to add it.

Every Td/tf that I have owned has had a foot rest.
I use that space for spares . I have even carried a generator when going

Mine has a dizzy, a coil, plugs, points and capacitor for the fitted dizzy. Amazing how much space in there. All a left over from touring Spain in the days before the net and rapid delivery of spares.
I am seldom a passenger in a T Type but do not feel secure in a car with no footrest.

The footrest is there to keep the passenger's feet from getting too hot from radiant heat from the exhaust. It is mostly used as a heat shield.

Problem, somebody must have put the exhaust on the wrong side of my RHd car;-)
