MG TD TF 1500 - Free Exhaust Gaskets

I have two A/S 13-015 (Moss 293-100) Gasket, original pipe to muffler, TC, TD, TF(?) They've been taking up space (not much) and I don't want to just toss them out. Anybody want them? Should fit in a simple envelope. You'll owe me an OSH. Bud

Bud, I believe I can use them when I assemble my exhaust. But what is an OSH?

Old Speckled Hen. Mighty fine beer.

Fine, Rich. Just send me your mailing address and I'll drop them into the mail. I'll probably be coming through Kentucky on my way to/from Texas in 2019. On the way to/from Hooterville (David Sheward country). I'm inclined to motor with some OSH in the boot. Bud

Dang it Lonnie!! You've done me in again. Now I'm going to have to waste an hour or more looking at all the OSH You Tubes. Great stuff. Just wish they'd sell OSH here so I could get a couple of bottles and do it right. Thanks for the post. Jud

The only problem with Old Speckled Hen now days is that it is not the original OSH, brewed by the Morland Brewery in Abingdon not far from the MG factory. Morland Brewery brought out OSH as a salute to the MG factory and the celebration of Morland & Co. and the MG factory on both of their 50th year in production (1929 - 1979). See picture of the original OSH bottle and the label showing MG and OSH logos being linked.

(continued)
Some time after OSH was brought out, the MG Car Company was shut down and not long after that, Morland came out with a new bottle for OSH, with a very short story on the back of the bottle showing the tie to MG. OSH is now produced by some other brewery and OSH is not the beer that it was originally. I don’t know when Morland Brewery finally shut down (perhaps some of our UK members can come up with the date), but OSH is no longer the beer that was originally brewed and there is nothing on the bottle to show any link to MG. Morland Brewery was bought out by Greene King and production was moved to Bury St Edmunds. Old Speckled Hen is still a decent brew. During my youth I worked at the brewery a number of times during the summer holidays - mainly at the old malthouse, which I believe had itself been a brewery until committed to that single purpose of making malt extract. In those days the Abingdon accent had a very clear country twang (for want of a better description) that has now all but disappeared. The brew OSH did not exist during my time there (late 1960s) and was a special produced in 1979. There is some controversy over the name, and I feel fairly confident that it should have been "Old Speckled Un" as has been said by some others.

Morland was acquired by Greene King in 1999 and the Abingdon brewery closed in 2000. Morland called themselves "The Artists in Brewing".
