MG TD TF 1500 - Front mounted SC parts
Have earlier reported on the installation of a front mounted SC in my TD 52.
As it is now complete and has worked well, I enclose an image of the pieces required, except for accelerator rod, choke wire and, adaptor bolted to the front pulley, fuel pipe and pressure gauge. Manifold and pressure relief valve has been shown in earlier threads. The SC 12 (1.16 l/rev), most likely from a Toyota, gives almost 0.4 bar. with direct drive. Cutting away of brackets and some sculpturing was required, as well as rerouting of oil pipes and modification of levers for throttle and choke. ![]() |

Thanks - appreciate your response. Enclose also a pic showing manifold and pieces of accelerator rod and fuel pipe. As I regard this my final report on CS installations I will add some pics of my former conversion kit that served me well for a couple of years. ![]() |

Required part for a manifold to fit an Eaton 45 with built in gear. The SC without gear would probably be called a 27, i.e. it would deliver 27 cu inch per rev. No welding is required A good milling machine will do. Pulley, tensioner and a support of 10 x 40 aluminum bar from SC to engine frame are not shown. The pulley is split in two, to allow for shimsing in order to give desired speed. ![]() |

My former SC. Note there is a lot of space for the horn with this configuration. The support bar under the SC is also visible. ![]() |
