MG TD TF 1500 - gauge lens
does anyone have a supplier for the green lens that wraps around the gauge for TD gauges? |

I used plastic A4 dividers from a stationery/art supply shop. Cheap and available in a few shades of green. I got some original material from England but it proved to be too dark, making it almost impossible to read the gauges. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Ha! Now Declan, that's pure genius. That should be the first entry in a file called something like "No-one will ever know" ... ! |

I also used a pop bottle with good results. Regards, Tom |

I tried using a green pop bottle cut into strips for the lens but found it somewhat awkward to use due to the natural curvature of the bottle. Using strips cut from a green plastic divider as found in a stationary store was much easier. I also found that gluing the strips to the rim with "Super Glue" made the assembly much easier. The length of each strip was the length of the window plus about 1". Hugh Pite |
