MG TD TF 1500 - Gear shifter anti rattle spring install.
After putting bushings in the remote tower for the shifter rod I had the usual trouble installing the anti rattle spring. I came up with this solution. Might be old hat to some but it worked for me. The locking ring was very easy to install. Tim ![]() |

I like it. I have used sockets as spacers to remove front hubs too with knockoffs. Maybe we should start a thread of "alternative" uses for tools. :-) |
