MG TD TF 1500 - Gimp Pins

I found a supply for 1/2" gimp pins for the rear deck gimp.

I just used flat headed nails found at any hardware store since they are totally invisible once in use.

The page says 100grm bag, So I assume that means I should get a number of nails. Happy to share once I find out how many I get,

The total was around $8 with shipping.

I received the gimp pins from Woolies in the UK. The pins are 1/2" long and black. The head is smaller than what the original was. It measures 1/16"

While these look like they would work for the rear gimp, I think they are more suitable for the piping around the door and side panels.

I am going to do a bit more searching to see if I can find a similar gimp pin with a larger head.

Why not check out the manufacturer of gimp pins, upholstery nails, carpet tacks, panel pins, improved cut pins, escutcheon pins etc - Frank Shaw who make the popular ‘Challenge’ brand which are widely available here in the UK. My guess is the Woolies items are Challenge brand.
