MG TD TF 1500 - GOF CORNING NY

Is any one on his forum planning on going to the Watkins Glenn/Corning NY GOF in June 10th -14th ??
How About the CT MG Club's British By The Sea Gathering in Waterford Ct on June 7th?

I don't live anywhere near this event of course but I'm curious why it hasn't been cancelled or postponed. All ski areas in Colorado where I live have closed early for the season as well as all public events, schools, etc. Restaurants are really hurting too!
Just saying to stay well, especially old geezers like me. This thing shall pass if we're patient and wait it out. MG's can't get this virus so they are safe!

Ed, I'm not so sure about a GOF being a gathering of more than 250 people. That seems to be the limit. It's also an open-area event, rather than being a close knit grouping. Just my guess. Bud

I suspect they are waiting to see if the virus begins to subside by June. Canceling events like this is expensive for the organizers. There are still a coupe British car shows in my area that are scheduled to go ahead in a couple weeks. I don't expect they will have much of a crowd, assuming they don't cancel.

As of now we are registered and planning to attend the GOF.

There is another big British car show in Lewes Delaware the first weekend in May. I spoke to the organizers on Friday and as of then they're going ahead with the show. Usually about 12 to 15 cars from our car club caravan down to Cape May and take a ferry across to Lewes and make it two night weekend of it.

We are all hoping virus subsides soon and life can go back to normal. Time will tell.

Last night we made the decision to cancel our Kimberfest in Buffalo due to the virus. We are meeting this evening to discuss the GOF in Corning. We are taking the virus very seriously, and may we’ll decide to cancel or postpone this event.

Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel the Corning GOF. We did not want to, but we can’t be too careful with this virus.
