MG TD TF 1500 - Grounding Strap
I have two grounding straps in my parts. One looks older than the other, so I thought I would get your input. Are either original? Did the TD just have the one grounding strap from the back of the motor to the left firewall brace? ![]() ![]() |

Neither original. I think the originals had the cable enter the terminal at a 90 degree angle rather than straight on. The terminal was very rounded around the bolt hole. I'll try to snap a picture later today.George |

There is no need for a dual chassis ground if it is sound. George is correct . neither appear to be original equipment. I have used to Moss repops and they appear to be visually correct. Bill Chasser TD-4834 |

RI Wiring has the correct profile that George is saying for these straps. Frank TF1414 |

That is one of the advantages of this group. Ok, new one ordered. |
