MG TD TF 1500 - Happy 70th Birthday

TD 4139 is 70 years old today. The TD is currently getting a full restoration bringing it back to what it was when picked up from the dealer.

I have owned the car since 1973.

Here is what it looked like in 1973 when I picked it up.

It spent the next 45 years as a cream TD with a black interior. It will be brought back to Woodland Green with a green interior, which we have determined is what it was originally.

Robert Tremayne and I stopped over for a short visit with Bruce Yesterday afternoon, it was great to see him hard at work. The panel massaging is looking great! . I’m looking forward to the portable spray booth going up and seeing some color going on soon. Keep up the good work Bruce. It’s paying off. Hope you’ll decide to retain her when she’s completed.

He gave me the MG for that thing.

BruceI see yor TD born 11/01 has the same colour
as mine TD 4490 born 21/11. I bought mine in 1999 as a basket case The TD was firsst as xpag4806
(engine nr) and licens nr. FF609 ownwer

Bruce. please ignor my earlier post.itwas all wrong. My TD 4490 was produced 21/11 1950.The car had when i imported the car to Norway he cbought it the same colour as yours on the picture.Mine was sold first time 04/51 licens number FGG609.
First owner. steven Rubert Bailey from
Sunnyvale CA. Changed owner 09/16/75 to Michael and
margaret Freeman in SanJose CA. The Car is Now painted Brit. Racing Green dark (GN 29) With
Tan interior.
