MG TD TF 1500 - Hey Guys....Just Christened my TD!
Two names I have seen on this site many times and which I admire for their originality and thought that went into their meaning were Bud K's "Lazarus" (he brought it back to life) and Mort R's "Mobius" (the never ending work). I racked my brains for something with meaning for mine. After researching the meaning of names, my wife and I came up with the "Ashleigh T". An English name meaning "the Ash wood T car". Not as dramatic as the others, but what the heck! Mike TD15250 ![]() |

It's funny how cars get their names. I recently bought an Austin Healey. We stopped in a pub for lunch on the way home from picking her up. An American lady was walking across the car park when she stopped and said 'Oh! what a beautiful car, it's a shame it's only average.' We were a little disappointed by this apparent contradiction and we were half way home before we realized she was referring to the number plate AVG 134. We decided to compromise on Avril! AJ |

Our 79 MGB lay up for a while as I "gathered parts and knowledge" to it running properly. My wife came up with name "Onslow" for the lay about character on "Keeping Up Appearances" Cheers Gary 79 MGB |
