MG TD TF 1500 - IT IS ALIVE !

Fresh rebuild. Had to go +.60. My wife forgot to take pic of the engine... just me. But you can hear it and get the feel.
Hard to express when you first hear it come alive.

Good on you! Now it is on to bigger and better things - like terrorizing your neighbors (and yourself) while driving around at what looks and feels like about three times the speed you are actually going. Congratulations on your milestone! Cheers - Dave

Well alright!!! Congratulations. Now get out there and raise some hell

The expression on your face says it all. You can't beat that feeling.
Enjoy.

Just missed a fuel level sender on Ebay.. The one Moss looks like it might be a problem. Anyone know where I might find a new one?
M Grogan

Congraduations, your engine sounds great and I loved how easy it was to get it going. Hope to be there soon with my TD engine.
Charlie Adams

Check www.fromtheframeup.com for the fuel sender.

Be sure to ask for one with the brass float.

Thanks to all for the comments.

But now I have a slight problem to find an answer to.

All head bolts on the right( SU side ) side of engine are showing weeping of coolant.
I did re-torque the bolts, but it is still weeping.
Any thoughts?

Have not taken her out for a ride yet as I have had the fuel tank out for a dip & strip. don't think I will coat the inside.
Installed new fuel lines and a visible in-line filter before the pump.

I also had the rims dipped and striped. I will paint them up for now and power coat later. We have not picked out a new paint job yet, so just want to mount the new tires and ride.

LED,
Why the brass float? Not the plastic?
M Grogan

Sounds great! I remember that feeling. You might want to reconsider the filter before the pump. Check the archives on the topic. Dave DuBois has written a number of responses about the reasons for not installing one. Bud
