MG TD TF 1500 - Item #6 Moss & WSM
Gentlemen: When I bought my TF it had a Metro engine and MGA gearbox. I have been returning it back to its original configuration, thus I've had to source parts wherever. Now! Putting back things as they should I've hit a snag. The engine control bracket fits one lug under the corner bolt on the right shock/damper, the lower lug orients to a corresponding lug on the frame but the furthest aft lug seems to sit 1/2" higher than the frame... Almost needing a spacer but checking the WSM/Moss/AS books they don't show that back side. Does anyone have a closeup photo of this area that I can use to confirm that I have the right parts? Many thanks Rod 54 TF |

Original had the spacer. My TF1500 has it. |

I kind of thought that there was a spacer I'm missing! Does anyone have either a part # or dimensions so that I could make my own. Also thanks for the response :) Best regards Rod |

This has been worked in the past. I'm unsure of what to use for an archive search. Bud |

I did find threads on this in archives where one chap used washers another had a spacer of about an inch another about 3/4" but nothing I could find that had either a specific height measurement or a part numbers from some vendor! I really don't want to use a stack of washers if I can find a measurement from someone's original spacer, then I will make the spacer. Again many thanks for any help:) Best regards Rod 54 TF |
