Not really a bad looking car other than that godawful color scheme.
Jack Long

It looks like the color scheme Al Capone would have chosen.
Geoffrey M Baker

How gross. The person who owned this must have been colour blind. How nauseating!!!!!
I wouldn't even have this as a mower.

I think it works if you're Dick Tracy.

Sure it's ugly & that look will put a lot of potential owners off, but if it's mechanically OK then it could be a pretty good buy. Nothing that a respray can't fix. Beauty is only skin deep. Cheers

Ha! I knew which car this was about before even opening the thread!

It would be the perfect car for a Rodney Dangerfield wannabe to pull up into Bushwood Country Club.

Not for the purist, but for someone with a good sense of humor and a whacky wardrobe to go with the car.

It's going to look beautiful to somebody one of these days.

If you think about it, this car has become so famous, I think a John Deere dealer should buy it and keep in his show room as a curiosity. Grin. PJ

This would be the perfect TD for any University of Oregon alumni

OK, I know for the " restore to how it rolled out of the works folks" this is not the colors they would do. But someone must have liked it, they choose the colors. Now as a former street rodder I look at what it could be. Buy it for around ten grand, sell the motor and transmission for five or six grand, buy a GM crate motor and transmission for less than twenty five hundred and you have a instant street rod and a couple of grand in your pocket and you don't even have to repaint it. For the MGT folks who avoid cruise nights just think of the " WOW's" your car would get with the hood open. Am I writing this tongue in cheek, let the reader decide.

My cousin has a MG TF that her husband bought for her over 40 years ago. It has been sitting in a storage building for probably 30 plus years. It could be the quintessential barn find unfortunately back in the 70's they had it painted turquoise and orange being big Miami Dolphins fans.

Very rare ...judging from this photo they came up with a novel idea for keeping it from dripping oil!
(Air breather on VC must be plugged.)

Soo the bidding is over, and it seems like 12,600 didn't get it???

And another thread on the same car

Looks like a nicely restored car. Unfortunately the color will seriously limit the number of potential buyers. There are no more $99 corner paint jobs, so someone is going to have to like bright yellow on bright green.
Steve Simmons

It's been pulled now. Maybe they heard all of you.

Edit: From another thread you can see it here:

On second thought, it's really only the green that I find offensive, so it wouldn't be too hard to remove the outer panels and paint them yellow. The bonnet and body tub are already done. The result would still be VERY yellow, but probably acceptable to a lot more buyers. Or a buyer could have those parts painted him/herself. Come to think of it, you could paint the green panels black. I've seen yellow/black cars and they aren't bad.
Steve Simmons

Paint the green bits black and it could be a cab in Australia, we had “Black & Yellow” cabs down there.

So it we great as an Uber?
