MG TD TF 1500 - Jack
Can anyone suggets a suitable hydraulic jack that will fit into the tool box on a TD or TF and is small enough to go under the car with a flat tyre? Must be available in the UK. Bob Marshall |

Happy hunting, Bob. I can't forget the first time I ran into a flat rear tire and discovered that the OEM jack wouldn't fit under the car to jack it up. Bud |

Even though I have the original jack in the toolbox, there are many scissor jack sizes that will fit in the toolbox, you only need a small one. I carry scissor jacks in my trailers because they will compress to a low height and get under the axles when a flat occurs. PJ |

Halfords do a 2 tonne bottle jack 17cm tall closed and fits neatly in the YF toolbox.£22 It has a screw extension of about 12cm and lifts my car fine. Probably get one cheaper on ebay though. Ray TF2884 |

Hello Bob. Thats odd I've used my jack on both front and rear to change tires over the years. Butch |

Years ago I went to a scrap yard and got a scissor jack from a Honda or Toyota for $10 that fits in the TC toolbox and works great. Charlie |

Butch, was the tire totally flat? I could not find a solid location under the rear quarter of the car that was higher than the lowest setting of the jack. Bud |
