Bud is the list interested in a engine number with no car? I have a spare engine in great shape in my dad's shop. It would be cool if it could get reunited with the original chassis. I had to search the T Register forever to find the info on the car since all I had was the engine number. Here is what I found. Rich ![]() |

Why not, Rich? I'll make a note about it in the owner's column. I'll do the same thing with the engine in my car. Thanks for the idea. Bud |

'Orphan' engines or original Car Nos. are now being noted in the Merson List. Bud |

If anyone has an engine number and wants to know the number of the car it came in, it's about a 30-second job for me with the original factory Guarantee Plate records. I've been told that the T-Register page now has that search capability, but have never tried it. Tom Lange MGT Repair |

See https://www.mgcc.co.uk/t-register/registers/t-type-factory-production-records/ I've been using it quite a bit to fill in many of the blanks in the Merson List. Bud |

The HTML file on Ttalk, and for that matter, any HTML file, is searchable on any Windows or Mac computer. Open the file, On a Mac, type, using the keyboard, Command +F. Both keys at the same time. This will open a small window. In it, type the engine # or the motor number. The search box will tell you it there is a hit and how many. You will be taken to the hit. On a Windows computer type Control+F. Again both keys at the same time. This also works in Xcel, and on most browsers. There is a similar facility on an iPhone, (I would guess on an Android also, but I don't have one to try.) On the iPhone open the file. Click on the icon that looks like a piece pf paper with an arrow on top pointing up. This opens a new window scroll down to the bottom of the new window. Click on "Edit Actions". In the list of actions, If "Find on page" has a green plus sign, click on it. I will move up and have a red minus sign. Then or if it has, already a red minus sign, click on done. You will be taken back one screen. Click on "Find on page".. You will see a search box, enter information a click on search. Many of you may be aware of this, but If not, perhaps it will help. Bud, thanks for the update on the T-register database. They finally fixed the dropped digit on the engine numbers as well. George |

Keith, it shows by my name, budkrueger@comcast.net, but I see what you mean. There's no email link on the webpage. Must change that immediately, Bud |

Link should be there now, at bottom of page. Bud |

See http://www.ttalk.info/car_lists.htm ; there are a number of new listings sent to me by George Merson. George mentioned that his main source of cars has been eBay. Bud |
