MG TD TF 1500 - LHD TC?
This must be one of the rarest TC parts out there - a Left-hand drive pedal arm. How many LHD TC's were made, anyhow? When I inquired, the seller wrote, "I think you need to do more research," so here I am - inquiring minds want to know. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MG-TC-LEFT-HAND-DRIVE-THROTTLE-PEDAL-SHAFT-OEM-/252469115548?hash=item3ac854fa9c:g:TigAAOSwj2dXj9zU He also listed a TF1500 head that had a 1250 casting number - I see he has changed that entry... He's deleted the offering...I think he 'may' have realized how rare that left hand drive TC was. Gene |

That looks EXACTLY like my RHD pedal arm except the ball is bolted in from the other side! I got my torch and grovelled under my road TC dash ..... and only then realised you guys were reeling me in! Getting a bit slow in my old age! It is interesting that the TC steel firewalls all have holes where the steering column support bracket would bolt if LHD TCs were made. Bob Schapel |

I have a friend who owns 48 LHD TC..... is that really a big deal? His is a GORGEOUS example. Frank |

Frank Could you post some photos please. It would be very rare, if not home made. Ian TF4056 |

It MUST be home-made, since the factory never made one. But I'd love to see how it was done! Tom Lange MGT Repair |

Ooops.....y'all are right.....it's LHD. My mistake! (but, I could've flipped the image) It's still a gorgeous car.

When I was working in Cupertino (CA) in 1975, there was an LHD TC on a car dealer's lot, and it was still there when I left. I stopped one day to speak with a salesman and he told me that there was a lot of curiosity, but nobody wanted an LHD TC. The asking price was $1,400, but he said he would take ANY sensible offer.
