MG TD TF 1500 - MG TF Windscreen Side Supports

Completing a Full Restoration on TF4571 for my wife, I need a pair of Windscreen Side Supports as they have disappeared during the dismantling & restoration process by previous owners??? I have been able to source all the other parts from LBCarco in USA & NTG's in UK, but I have been advised that these 2 support brackets have not been available for 10 years. The MOSS no's are 408-230 & 408-240, any help is locating a pair in reasonable condition would be appreciated. Thanks Chris Bennett

They turn up on ebay uk very occasionally. Or try Andy King or Barry Walker or Motobuild or Steve Baker or Halls Garage or TTT2 Parts Wanted and Parts For Sale.

I have a pair in very good shape but I'm afraid they would not be reasonable in price. They are the same supports as found on a TD which should help broaden your search.

Hugh Pite might be a possible source. I was under the impression that the TD and TF stanchions were slightly different. I think the TF windshield has a greater rake to it than the TD. I must be wrong on that if the parts are indeed the same

The numbers he gave were for the side supports. The stanchions to the cowl are indeed different.

Gents thank you for your response to my thread.
Laverne is correct I am looking for the 2 support brackets that are attached to the windscreen frame by 4 screws & have the lock nut & wing nut adjuster bolts to lower the screen. I have a brand new pair of Stanchions which came with the car, very lucky!
The car seems to have been a donor car for other vehicles prior to being brought out to Australia about 4 years ago & after the previous owner given up on the project my wife bought it.
It was only after we got the car & all the parts home I found lots of items missing. We have done a LHD to RHD conversion & now in the process of reassembly.
I have been searching on Ebay internationally for about 3 months for both TF & TD supports, but with no luck & it's hard to compete in an auction situation not knowing what people are prepared to pay?

Laverne I may be interested in the pair you have, I only mentioned about reasonable condition, not price,

Thanks gents for your suggestions re possible sources & offers of the parts I needed, I have been in touch with Hugh Pite in Canada(recommended by LaVerne). Hugh has a set & we are in the process of getting them sent to Australia.

Those aren't what he was needing and the won't fit the TF. What he needs and has sourced through Hugh was these two side supports.
