MG TD TF 1500 - MGCC T Register website

Many of you will use the MGCC T Register's Register of known T Types, and the Factory Records, hosted on the T Register's website at
www.tregister.org

From today, the T Register has moved to a new website hosted on the main MGCC website at
http://www.mgcc.co.uk/t-register/

Using the www.tregister.org url will auto redirect you to the new site, and the link for both the Register and the Factory Records is now
http://www.mgcc.co.uk/t-register/registers/

The look and feel of the Register and Factory Records pages is still as the old site as, because they are database driven, it will take us some time to change over. The reason for the change is that we have moved to a more modern web system and the new site is much easier to update, and indeed, already contains much more up to date information than the old site.

I'll be happy to answer any queries.

Tim, nope.

All of the MGCC website including the T Register pages is freely available, with the exception of the Members area accessed from the tab at the top.

The T Register also has a Facebook Page which you don’t have to join, but our monthly email Newsletter is sent to MGCC members who have an interest in T Types only, and to officers of affiliated clubs, some of whom are contributors to this forum.

Sadly Matthew, no. We thought long and hard about this, and maintaining lots of different places on the Internet was stretching us a bit too far, especially now we have two new ventures, viz, the T Register Facebook Page and monthly email Newsletter.
We still have, however, direct access to the T Register's Registrars to give people technical help and we're trying to make it easier for people to contact them.

Are there any plans afoot for the incomplete engine numbers in the database to be completed? Also, would this be a good time for the ""Notes" section to include the realtively few notes found in the Production Records, where defective engines were removed for replacement?

I can also provide a few transcription-corrections to the database, if there are any plans towards up-dating it.

Tom, I didn’t like to get too technical about the relationship and technical foundation of the new website pages to the existing Register and Factory Records pages, but the plan is to move the latter pages over to the new site.
For that to happen there needs to be an upgrade to the capability of the MGCC site as a whole and other MGCC Registers are wanting similar facilities to that which we already have. Which means discussions, probably with a capital ‘D’. Not to mention different ways of working for the three T Register Registrars we have. So it will be quite a few months before we move those pages.
But I recognise that this will give us an opportunity to make corrections and I will ensure that we take it.
So ... many thanks for the offer and I will be back in touch.

David - I use my copies of the original Production Records to record corrections and additions. I'd be happy to help in any way.

David. Does your information include any car paint colors? I am looking to solve the issue of what is Sun Bronze and am looking for owners with cars listed in that color.

Bruce, it does of course contain the original colour of TFs, but I don’t know about TDs.
