Peter - That sounds like a terrific selection of topics. Could you send me some of the info from the Tech Day? I might be able to incorporate some of it into a "Tech Tips" column that I write for our club newsletter. Email address by my name in the heading. By the way - I found these links and videos useful when I taught myself how to lock ware when I rebuilt my gearbox: > Good - overview - pliers (view first to learn basics) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwkL0qfyFL0 > Good - detailed (view second to see expert methods) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwFjUX6SaY8 > Good verbal description http://ultralightnews.com/pilotslounge/safetywire.htm > Verbal descriptions and diagrams http://www.eci.aero/pdf/10-3.pdf Have a great time at the Tech Day, Lonnie TF7211 |

At this stage 19 T Types will be gathering on Sunday with the possibility of another 2 who are yet to confirm, plus 6 owners whose cars are off the road. The weather is predicted to be fine & a warm 28 with a chance of showers in the evening, so it should be a really great day. I'll post some pics early next week. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Superb day 26 & sunny though the forecast of showers kept half a dozen T Types indoors. 12 T Types in all turned up with 22 owners. Pics to follow. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Hi Peter Glad you had a great day and sorry I couldn't attend. Regards, John |

Hello Peter, do you have information about the imaged car? Is it a very early TD, what is the number and was the car first set on road with the steel wheels? ![]() |
Bela |
Hi Bela, it's a YT. I don't know much about them other than it's an M.G. from the late 40's. Steve the present owner has the car up for sale. He ran a Tech day earlier in the year for the MGRA on upholstering T Types & did a superb job on his seats. It's a nice car. Just let me know when you want the template & jig for the glove box John. I've saved a bag of the brown flocking for you. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |
