MG TD TF 1500 - MGTD SEAT BASE
Does anyone have or know where I can procure a diagram of the front seat Bases, the elevation view with the front sloped wooden frame (not the flat base plate) I know it has sloped sides and "runner" supports between them that I believe tapper down 4"to zero (front to back). In preparation for this winter's new upholstery project (would like to "woodwork" new seat and floor bases this fall in preparation. As in the past thank you for any responses and support |

I don't have measurements, but here are a few photos. One tip. The plywood slope is curved. I used a steamer to soften the plywood to get it to fit. ![]() ![]() |

suggest also Marine grade plywood - withstands dampness better |

All plywoods use the same glue now. Marine ply will have fewer voids and more plys, but for seat bases in an 80 year old vintage car that will see light use on mostly sunny days?? Marine ply is a bit of over kill. Birch plywood would be less expensive than marine and would also be void free. Regards, Tom |

I also have a good used seat base. Let me know what side you need and I’ll see what I have. |
