What's the original part number for a Lucas point set for a 55 TF? PJ

David H is correct. TF Lucas points are no. 407050. Not related to the Magnette.

Beware the repro. 'Lucas' junk points. The original NOS points base with 'Made in England' stamped on them with a red fibre (not 'modern plastic') heel etc. are the ones to procure.

My response came right out of the 1954 Lucas booklet for Spare Parts, which includes electrical and ignition parts for the MG TF.
Perhaps the part numbers changes later on.

I have 418856 as the carbon brush and spring, probably in the distributor cap.
