MG TD TF 1500 - Mystery part
I removed the top of one of the carbs to replace the gasket and washers and this part fell to the floor. I can't find it on the Moss breakdown of the carbs and wonder where it goes. Can anyone help?

Off the tickler pin? |

Item 24, may also be a spring floating around.

If it fell from the dome then it could also be what was holding the valve on the damper rod. |

Steve is correct - it is one version of what holds the damper onto the damper rod. Tom Lange MGT Repair |

Sorry, I should have said 'I removed the top of one of the float chambers'. It is a 1954 TF and has no tickler pin. The image sent by BWW is very different from my copy of the Moss Catalog with different numbers? |

Some of the repro tickler pins used tiny e-clips, as do some damper rods. If really tiny, likely where it came from. TFs came with tickler pins. George |

Could be somebody used it as a replacement for the correct gasket on the overflow tube. Just a guess. |
