MG TD TF 1500 - need speedo

sent my 53 mg-td speedo out for restor. they called me back cost of restor. was almost 500.00 any one have one i can pourchase reasonably that works. thanks les cynles@comcast.net

Flat faced speedos are available from "Peter Edney MG Motors" in the UK, web 'www.mg-parts.co.uk. They cost £173 before any tax or pack/post, and as they seem to have a dollar conversion system, I assume they will dispatch to the US. However, as your car is 1953, it might have a dished speedo, which the website does not mention.

I suspect the flat faced chronometric repros from "Peter Edney" are in fact magnetic gauges based on the Triumph TR2,3 and 4. MOSS sells a similar unit.
I have a number of original speedometers and tachometers, both magnetic and chronometric, for sale. Please send me an email message if you are still looking.
