MG TD TF 1500 - New crankshaft needed
I have a customer that needs a new crankshaft, he does not like the quality of a Moss crank, & does not want to wait 6-8 months for a Moldex. Any help appreciated Len |

Did you contact Manley? |

Also curious what faults he finds with the Moss crank...other than price. |

I'm curious also, the new Moss crank is a billet crank, very strong, I wouldn't hesitate at all to use their crank if I needed one. But that's just me. PJ |

Len, Crankshaft rebuilders in Melbourne Australia build billet crankshafts. They are very experienced and knowledgeable about T series MGs, (the owner has one). Their XPAG/XPEG crank is a dummy 5 bearing crank that does not have the heavy sloping section between 1 & 2 and 3 & 4. They were recommended to me by a local engine builder and TC racer as being better than the original design followed by Moss, B&G and others. I can give you contact details if you wish. Michael |

I like the modern design style of that crank. Can I assume they dynamically balance it prior to shipping? |

Manley sells the five main crank along with a std billet offering. He has been very hush hush regarding the maker. Sounds like the cat is out of the bag. Phoenix I believe is who supplies Baker with his offering as does B&G. Merry Christmas Bill Chasser TD4834 |
