Is there any story behind the 2 or 3 XPAG engined very late TFs?

Were these engines found behind the 'bike sheds' or are they factory demonstrators/test cars being sold off?

Those Australian cars have replacement engines (done in Australia).

My Production Records show that the last TF with an XPAG engine was TF6950.

The Payne list shows the last one as 10095 (unless I am reading it incorrectly) with 7992 and 8777 as the previous XPAGs.

The list contains information from the owners, or in the case of ebay cars, the information is from the listing. If there is no information in the listing regarding the engine number, I do not include it in the list. I can't speak to the list before last year when I agreed with Jeff to update the list with his permission. if corrections are needed, contact me off list and I will update any information.
