MG TD TF 1500 - Odd blue something behind dash

I was looking for panel light ground and found this. It was wedged into position, not welded. Attached to a red wire.
What is it?

Could it be a bracket and bulb holder?

Were main beam warning lights blue back then?

Possibly home adapted/modified?

Sorry, obviously I don't know.

I would be guessing also. I don't think I have seen a bracket like that on my 50 TD.

It looks a bit like an earlier model bulb holder and bracket.

Looks like the remains of the low fuel light jewel.
