MG TD TF 1500 - Oil Filter (Purolator) TF

My TF-1500 Operation Manual lists Purolator M.F.21 oil filter element for the Purolator oil canister. The Purolator website shows Purolator L20021 as the modern part number. I have used filters from Moss in the past. Looking for one that I can purchase locally.

I've seen a number of oil filters recommended on the BBS.

I use a wix brand (or napa as theirs are made by wix) in ky canister. Unfortunately I don't have one handy to pass you the number at the moment. It is a modern paper pleated filter rather than the cotton like ones I've seen from moss. Let me know if you'd like me to dig up the number.

I found this list of filters for MGAs from Barney Gaylord:

Prices for other brands had about the same wide price range. From $1.40 at Rock Auto for closeout Purolator L20021 to almost $20 for a FRAM Extra Guard Part # CH814PL at O'Reiley.

Wix and NAPA are have a metal outer cover. All others have paper. Dimensions also varied slightly among brands.
