MG TD TF 1500 - OT can anyone identify this car?
I saw this car recently in St. Moritz following a road ralley. I took lots of pics but failed to get a pic of the badge. It's not a cobra but looks like one

Looks like an Osca, See link https://goo.gl/images/WQqH1i I watched Denise McCluggage wreck one at Bridgehampton Race track. |

For me it looks more like an early italian sports car similar to Maserati Zagato A6G. |

It's clearly Italian, in the Osca/Siata family of sports/race cars of the 50's. Osca cars usually had vertical grille bars, so I don't think that's it, and it looks too straight to be a Siata. Maserati grilles were more cordiform. Maybe a custom - there were lots of custom body-makers at the time, who would do a couple of examples. Tom Lange |

For comparison an OSCA MT4 with same point of view - seems Len got it.

Though you cannot read the badge in the photo, the yellow and blue show it to be a Siata. |

Well, anyways, it was a beautiful car. i was so happy to see it being driven and not just sitting in a garage somewhere. There were lots of Ferraris, an MGB and a 100-6 AH. That I saw. Most likely many more. |

It could be a Siata Gran Sport with much modification, but I don't think so. The nose badge is not shaped like a Siata badge and the hint of a body builders logo appears to be a horizontal script but not Boano. The Borranis look to be scaled to 400 mm diameter which is nearly 16" while the knock-offs are not the larger 52 mm size that you would expect with that wheel size. 400 mm wheels were never, to my knowledge, used on the two smaller Siata series and only on the 8V which this is definitely not. A picture of the dashboard or side badge could help.

The Siata Gran Sport has a split windscreen. The windscreen of the spotted car looks more like the OSCA. Imagine the grill and the lights of the OSCA and then compare. |

Jarl deBoer, acknowledged Siata expert, writes me, "Looks to be an OSCA MT-4 with a modified nose (after a crash?) body would be by Morelli." Tom Lange MGT Repair |
