MG TD TF 1500 - OT upside down
There was a series recently in a weekend magazine from an artist who does bottom up photographs of old cars. This one was on the title and looked immediately familiar - at least most of it ;-) The link to the (German) article is here: http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/kunstprojekt-auto-reverse-9958617.html Rgds, Mike ![]() |

Mike- So how does he shoot the cars? They don't appear to be on top of a glass or plastic platform, since you can't see any tire bulge. What's his method? Roy |

Odd, the strong camber of the wheels almost wants to say that the car is upside down. Bud |

1.16 seconds into the video on the link Mike gave shows the wheels in cradles - I am guessing attached to a two post lift's arms. Dave |

Ah yes and then Photoshopped to remove the cradles? |

The full size prints are awesome! Would be very cool art for the garage wall/ceiling. |

Sharp observers here. They lifted the whole car with a crane fixed from above and pulled the wheels up with cradles to have them in a natural loaded position. Those were then retouched away. And, yes, it's an MGA. Amazing how similar it is to the TD/TF. The prints might be even better on the garage roof, with small pinholes in the right places to have oil dripping through. Would be very realistic :-) Rgds, Mike |
