MG TD TF 1500 - PEPCO Supercharger

A few years ago I met an elderly gent who had once owned a TC with a PEPCO supercharger, he swore would get up to 90MPH (shudder...) I inquired on the Boards at the time, but nobody was able to tell me anything about fitting one to an MG. (I'm here interested in period superchargers, not modern ones.)

Now a car with a PEPCO (Progressive Engine Products Company) 3-lobe Roots-type supercharger came up for sale on Facebook recently, photo as attached. The intake manifold is MIGHTY complex, and I wonder how original it is - a 2-into-1 system? I have seen PEPCO blowers on many Crosley cars, but have never seen one in a T-series before. I believe Lou Fageol (of Porsche fame) took over the company, which is why they also made 36HP VW and early Porsche blowers. I know the long-nose blowers were used on Crosley engines (and MG?), but they also made versions with no nose at all, presumably for VW and Porsche.

Does anyone else have a Pepco supercharger? I know about Marshall-Nordec, Shorrock, Judson, Ital/SCoT, Arnott and Paxton/McCullough - but I've never seen a Pepco or McCullough on a T-series car. All help appreciated.

Never seen a PEPCO one before. If you end up getting any info send it my way and I will post it with the rest of them here:

Seeing as you're into old superchargers,
I have an old Godfrey cabin blower on mine,

There's a bit of info on them here--

William - thank you; I have also considered the hard-to-define relationship between Godfrey and Marshall; I came to the conclusion that Marshall made them originally, Godfrey made them for aircraft cabins during the war years, and Nordec fettled and sold the surplus cabin-blowers as Marshall-Nordec car blowers. I have one, a complete J75, and an NOS even bigger one.

I have a good deal of materials relating to these blowefrs, including some drawings.

Tom,

Did Moss Motors ever sell a blower based on the Marshall Nordic way back when? I’ve got a Marshall on one of my TC’s but I was told it was a repro, not original, and had been sold by Moss. Just curious.
