MG TD TF 1500 - Philidas nuts
|I contacted the Philidas nut company on the availability of replacement nuts for the TD.
They replied that they do not stock BSF nuts currently. They said they can make them, but a minimum run is 2500 units.
As we need 5/16 and 3/8 for driveshaft and rear backing plate bolts, that would require 5000 units. Probably not something an individual is going to undertake. (But at 8 nuts for the axle and 8 for the driveshaft, that is only about 650 cars).
The good news is that they said the nuts can be reused 4 times. Unfortunately, there is no way of telling how many times they have been used.

Also, I have purchased these in the past from AS but do not find them just now.

|Bill. Can you list these? The ones Jim listed come up as Castle nuts. FTFU lists three all metal locking nuts but not Philidas.|
Looks like I will need to go with these.
Philidas gave me the following quote.
5/16 - £35.00 (45.18 us) per 100, Minimum 2500 order or $1,129.50
3/8 - £52.50 (67.77 US) per 100 or 1694.25 for 2500.
