MG TD TF 1500 - Power assisted steering

On a MG TD. Yes I know that some might regard this as heresy,however I have had to think along these lines due to a combination of advancing years, shoulder injury and general bodily wear and tear.
So ,has anyone here done a PAS modification to a TD, and if so how?And with what?
The existing rack is in good condition, not binding or stiff but parking the car has become gradually very difficult.

The place to start would be the suppliers of power steering conversions for the MGB.

There are a number of electric steering systems that should be a good conversion for the TD.

I’ve done this to a 34 Buick.
Might be easier then changing out the steering gear box adding the pump and hoses.
You can also adjust how much assist you want/need.

I will ask again my original question...Has anyone done a PAS modification on a MG TD ad can offer me any advice.?

Not to be confrontational, but we are giving you advice. If you are asking about putting in a hydraulic power steering unit, I have not found any hydraulic power steering units that have been installed on a T series. I am sure it has been done, but I could not find any documentation of it.

There is a lot of space above the steering column in the TD which makes it ideal for an electric unit. These have been installed in MGB's for years, and they have a lot tighter area under the dash.
