MG TD TF 1500 - Question for those who changed to MGA front brakes
I understand that the rubber flex hose has a different thread form. So my question is how did you attach the rubber line to the hard line? |

LaVerne, let me try this idea. When I installed the MGB brake servo into Lazarus I had to make up a couple of 'hybrid' brake lines. The MGB flare is different from that of the TD. I'd guess that the MGA is like the MGB. Fedhill, http://store.fedhillusa.com/britishgirling-316475nutsandfittings.aspx, had all the things that I needed. Bud |

If you mean from the hard line on the frame to flex, will have to get correct flare fitting that screws into the flex. Then remove and cut the current hard line, and use one flare fitting from that and the new one and make/flare a new hard line. Hope that makes sense. George |

Solved the problem by using two new flex lines. Cut off about 3 " on the caliper end and had a shop install the correct caliper fitting. Dot approved

Have you had a chance to do any spirited driving yet? The WNBC should have another track day! Bill Chasser TD-4834 |

Just a small amount to this point...has a pull to the right after they get warmed up that I haven't nailed down the cause yet. More trouble shooting until it will be ready for another track day :-) |
