MG TD TF 1500 - Question for Unmolested TD owners

If you have a side curtain box that hasn't been messed with I have a couple of questions.

First.... I need the exact dimensions of the felt rectangle on the inside of the door...or the exact dimensions of the vinyl over lapping.


The second question is....was the underside of the top inside the compartment covered with felt? Vinyl? or just bare wood?

Unmolested?
Mine, to the best of my knowledge, was never damaged or modified.

I have the original top. It appeared to have been covered.
When I covered mine, I did not want rusty staples showing so I bound the edges.

Perhaps not original but...

Now the box sits at an angle, so the pattern is not a series of boxes. I have attached a drawing I made 6 or 7 years ago, when I did mine. I used a Moss Kit, BUT I got it off eBay at 1/2 price.

Thanks Chris...I have been through those and others but they only give me a gussetimate of the dimensions. No images of the inside of the top piece either.

Laverne I can give you the exact dimensions for the felt under the gimp on the door. But I original door is at the Jim’s. I will be able to answer all your questions tomorrow when I pick up dads car if Jim doesn’t chime in.
