MG TD TF 1500 - Raise a Pint
Take time tomorrow to go out and play with your car, or at least admire it. And if you are inclined, Raise a Pint to our founder. April 12 is Cecil Kimber's birthday. He was born in 1888 and died in a train accident in 1945. Here is to the founder. |

A great idea Bruce. Here is to Cecil Kimber. It is only now that I realise how "octagonal" that year was. There is a thousand years between 1888 and the next with three 8s. Bob |
R L Schapel |
I will raise a pint to him! One of my Home brew Porters, or an Imperial IPA! |
Len Fanelli |
I'd be happy to raise an Old Speckled Hen, if I could only find some down here in Marietta GA. Bud |

Had a 6 pack of Old Speckled Hen last week, available in Western New York, not even that expensive. Cheers Cecil. |

Just a Moo or two, but didn't realize it was Cecil's birthday - better do the right thing and have another I guess- Cheers Cecil willy |

Bought a 6 pack of OSH about 5 or 6 years ago here in central Ne. $14 back then, and I still have a couple bottles. Not very good in my opinion. Gary ![]() |

Never had a bad beer, have had some that were better than others though. OSH would not be my daily tipple, but I did toast getting my TF back on the road with a 4 pack! That being said, I am in the USA where a lot of the locals think Budweiser is beer. Peter |

Anyone else not able to see the pictures? I also looked at some I had seen before and they do not download. I'll try one of my own. Byron. |

Try again to load a picture. Byron ![]() |

The MGCC of New Zealand had our National Rally in Timaru in late March. Although it was a little early, we thought Cecil wouldn't mind if we cut his birthday cake there. The Cutter is Peter Cook, the Overseas Director of MGCC UK, on his second visit to NZ in two years: he also attended our National Pre-56 Rally last year. The venue is Levels Motorsport Park, where we held our Autocross and Motokhana. David ![]() |
