MG TD TF 1500 - RE: Gene Gillam's TC
I just returned from the Moss Motorfest in Petersburg Va. It was a great event. I had my '53 TD to show and when pulling into the 'T' show area I noticed this utterly awesome TC. It was Gene's modified TC with cycle fenders and all. I have to say that this was the most incredible TC that I have ever seen. We had a chance to talk about the car for a while and I was pleased to meet him after reading his postings on this site for years. A lot of you I'm sure have met and know Gene but for those of you who don't,jump on the opportunity and go out of your way to see this fantastic car and talk to Gene if you ever have a chance. You just cannot believe what he has done to make this car so special. Mark |

Thanks Mark...BUT let's be honest here...YOUR TD was beautiful, perfectly prepared and was easily the class winner hands down. But...as important, if not more so than the cars, is how great it is to be able to put faces to names you see here on the BBS. Its always nice to go somewhere new, see a name I recognize from here and put a face to it! Great meeting you! Your turn to come south now! |
