MG TD TF 1500 - Rectangular 'T' Nuts for Floorboard

I've looked at all of the parts house web sites I know about and could not find a listing for the Floorboard/ Transmission tunnel T nuts. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase the pictured 1/4" BSF version?

Richard, Hi--There's a thread going on this subject-have a look at-------

"Captive Nuts on RHD Pedal Box Top"
William Revit

(Posted same in the "Captive Nuts on RHD Pedal Box Top" thread:

These are pretty close to original, except for thread size.
Not as thick as weld nuts.
A bag of 250 is enough for over 30 cars - floorboards and side curtain box.

1/4-20 Thread Size
1.25" Flange Length
0.5" Flange Width
0.3125" Barrel Height
0.170 Hole Diameter
0.047" Material Thickness

Thanks Lonnie. Anyone interested in a group purchase of a bag? 250 is a few more than I need. I'd be happy to take 25. Also posted on the other thread. Cheers

FWIW

When I was restoring my TD, I made some. Mine were 303/304 SS.

I should still have a few but I cant find them just now.

Top one in the picture is original,
Bottom two are mine. The threads are brazed to the flange. You can see braze on the bottom part.
Hardest part was the internal thread. I would up chasing that on the lathe.
I used a stock tubing for the post. I don't remember needing to drill it out but I may have.

They look good Jim. Roy Chalberg's detailed drawing of the floorboards mentions these "T" nuts, showing quantity, size and location. I found a copy of his Revision 6 in my archive - to which I added Lonnie's link as a sticky note, but I couldn't locate it in the BBS archive. Cheers

Congratulations Jim B. on your effort to come up with an excellent item
that is so often missing on our restored cars. The advantage with your manufacture compared to other retail fastener distributors, is your attention
to correct threading.
