MG TD TF 1500 - Regulator, Digital
I'm considering a replacement regulator for my TD. Looking for comments, suggestions, experience and recommendations. Thanks, Mort |

I would get an alternator with a built in regulator. Jim B. |

Try these guys. I saw a model at a show a few weeks ago. They take your reg and fit their guts into it. About $140.00 IIRC. http://www.vintagemecha-tronics.com/ |

Mort If you search on my "User Name" in the Archive you will find information pertaining to constructing your own solid state regulator that assembles neatly into an original regulator enclosure. I have made two of these and they perform well, no more contacts to arc up and you are assured of constant control voltages. It is a little difficult to source some of the components required. I was interested in one of these regulators, thinking I may be able to make one I read everything Graeme wrote or posted about it at the end I started having flashbacks, I reckon making that would be harder than getting out of the Bamboo cage I was in. Regards george |

Mitch, I picked up a flyer from Vintage Mecha-Tronics at the GoF 97 at Saratoga Springs this past weekend. I was hoping someone had some experience with them. Mort ![]() |
