MG TD TF 1500 - Saturday morning fun

Changed coolant, oil, checked other fluids, tune up. Most likely recent poor running when really hot due to black rotor with rivet in it, time will tell. I restored this car with current owner's dad in the late 80s. Much of it was inside my old house at some point-instruments/dash in my kitchen cabinets, upholstery done in living room. Before wife of course! George

Hey, we were in Florida last weekend, and it was 38F and windy like you wouldn't believe! Couldn't wait to get home.

It was 55 and we were really cold- we both had t-shirts on under the flannel to avoid hypothermia! George

Small world ... My friend and concours judge, Don Allen who also lives in Winter Haven saw that car on the road at 8:30 yesterday morning. He contacted me to tell about seeing a car that looked like mine.

Of course it didn't look exactly like mine. That's a beautiful car that faired better after restoration than mine did. You did a good job.

Temp in the mid-40s (F). Two pairs of socks, long johns, two shirts, military wool sweater, wool scarf, GorTex high neck jacket, gloves, and a stocking cap. Don't need no stinkin' heater. I was pretty comfortable!

By the way - almost twenty cars at lift day. It was MG car-nut heaven.

TRM, we always chuckle about you guys swimming in December down here when we have on long underwear! Definitely small world Lonnie. I also got a call from a friend all excited about seeing a red TF about noon. The car is really dirty and needs a serious detail, yours looks much better up close. George

65 here a couple days ago, even took the car for a ride, no side curtains, warm as toast. 66 here today, shorts and short sleeves! Were thinking about planting palm trees soon. Seems like Florida is moving North! LOL. PJ
