MG TD TF 1500 - Screws On Each Side Of Bows
There are 2 screws on each side of one of the bow braces and I would like to know what they are for. Fortunately they are all there but nothing under them. Do these take some kind of rubber pad? PJ

Thanks George! Believe it or not, I bought the major body rubber kit and they were in the box! I wondered what they were for, thanks to you, now I know! PJ |

They tear off quite easily, especially with the soft rubber we have these days. Support with washers and maybe some glue. Matthew. |

If you are not into originality replace the rubber with pieces on conveyor belt, the webbing will give the rubber strength to support the screws. |

My bows also had the unusual original screws PJ & my guess is they are probably quite rare. As George suggests they are designed to secure rubber pads to prevent the bows wearing the hood material. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

I have the new rubber pads and what appears the original screws. Ill do as Matthew said and use small washers and glue on them to attach. Have to paint the bows first, as I have them cleaned up and ready, what a pain that was. PJ |
