MG TD TF 1500 - SEAT BELTS FOR MY MGTD

I beg the forum - Please don't start a thread about that show. Bud

I am glad it is gone. It was very unpleasant to read.

I’m glad to say, “Me too”. My sincerest apologies to the forum members for losing my usually proper decorum. I will endeavor to not get sucked into such senseless confrontations in the future

Where did the thread go? Deleted? That's a shame, there was a ton of great information in there. A couple grumpy posts but nothing worth deleting the entire topic.

All the information is in the archives, without the nasty comments. For lap belts, the body tub mounting points work well for the outside anchors. These bolts go directly to the frame. The inner lap belt anchor works well at the intersection of the cross brace, floor support and transmission tunnel. There is ample strength for the anchor here.
Shoulder belts are another story, a lot of varying opinions here. IMHO, an accident severe enough to warrant a strong three point shoulder belt will most likely be a fatal accident reguardless of the type of seat belt used.
Be well,
David.

I meant this particular thread. Lots of good discussion. If we're going to only use existing discussion from days gone by then we'll never think of anything new! But what's done is done...
