MG TD TF 1500 - separation in inlet manifold
Hello, Does anyone know of a kind of separation in the connecting pipe of an XPAG TD inlet manifold? I seem to remember, that there was one in the manifold of my '52TD when I restored it some 30 years ago and I wonder if it is original and why it is there. Regards |

Eric, see the info about the restrictor in the old thread. Bud |

OK Bud, Thank you. Which thread is it? Erik |
Erik van Hardeveld |
It's called Intake resistor Bud |

OK, "intake resistor" does not exist, but I suppose, that you mean "intake restrictor" but that thread has been removed. |

What do you need to know? The restrictor consisted of a vertical disk shaped plate held in place by a screw at the bottom center of the intake manifold used to keep air/fuel mixture from being sent to the wrong cylinders. If the screw holding the restrictor falls out - which is not uncommon, a severe vacuum leak ensues with attendant rough running. |

Eric, I gave it the wrong name. It's Intake restrictor that's in the present list. Sorry. Bud |
