MG TD TF 1500 - Side curtain storage box

Could someone with an original TF1500 side curtain box please let me know dimensions of it and how it is constructed. I have the metal frame parts to support the lid but no woodwork, and I do not have a car nearby I can measure up. Thanks in anticipation. Paul

The lid is just one piece of ply that hinges at the back and lifts at the front. Fit the frame and then measure up, making allowance for the thickness of the vinyl covering. Approx 85 x 45cm and 9mm thickness.

That black finishing strip on the underside is if I remember a 1" wide strip that is folded under 1/4" on the two sides so that it appears to be 1/2" wide only and is either stapled or tacked in position. The corners are cleverly folded into mitres. Its made from a thin black oil cloth that I doubt is obtainable now.

I have now remade the lid without hinges so I can lift it out when removing the side screens. It makes the job much easier.
