MG TD TF 1500 - side curtains

Is there an advantage to doing this? I often see pictures of cars from "across the pond" that have side curtains up but top down.

It can lessen wind noise a bit. Don't do it myself.

Its a pleasant way to travel for long journeys in cool weather.

You also have to remember that we do not have a climate in the UK, just weather!.
By the time you have the side screens out and hood up you are wetter than if you had carried on driving :-)

I have been using that method in even the coldest weather.Side curtains up and warm jacket with large collar.Kangol cap and gloves and away I go.
I drove the entire trip from Montreal to west central Florida in early December and enjoyed every mile.

I do it too. Mostly for fast response to inevitable rain showers in Ireland. :-)

In Keith Yarbrough's photo, I would love to know the tyre size, and the wheel rim width as it looks wider than the 4J original or the 4.5J that I have on my car.
